About MF
I was always going to make things. I just had to figure out what.
What got me here
I wanted to be an artist when I was little. I loved making things, but I was also told that making a living from art would be difficult. So I found another way to make creativity part of my life: design.
At 15, I made a short film for a school project using one of those old Windows editing programs. Somewhere between cutting clips, I realised I wanted to work with media and something creative.
A few years later, I designed a layout for an article in InDesign. That was another little click. I became fascinated by how typography, hierarchy and composition could completely change the way someone experiences information.
When I started studying Graphic Design and Web Development at Jönköping University, I discovered UX — another piece of the puzzle. I became interested in how we understand and navigate the things around us. A website, an app, or even a teapot. Good design can make something feel obvious without us having to think about why. That curiosity has followed me ever since.
Today, I see diciplines as different tools in the same toolbox. The more I learn, the more ways I have to approach a problem, develop an idea and make something happen. I've always wanted to help improve people's lives, which is why I now study human centered design at Berghs SOC in Stockholm.
Outside of work, you'll usually find me reading, working out or painting. I also run my own webshop where I design and sell posters, stickers and patches. It's a creative playground where I get to experiment, learn and wear many different hats at once.
